Instead of taking two seconds to react it only took one. Changing OpenGLRenderer to auto made a slight improvement but it was still unusable. With these settings the problem was still there. The Checkbox for Canvas Graphics Acceleration was already ticked since it was in the previous version and the new installation didn't overwrite the setting.
